We've rounded up the most popular running routes in your uni city so you can tie your shoe laces and get started straight away.
πββοΈBradford β Lister Park Loop

Lister Park is one of the city's lovely green spaces that only takes an average of 26 minutes to complete, making it a popular route for students. Want a longer run? Either do laps around the loop or choose from one of the many interconnecting trails to modify the route.
π Brighton β Seafront Promenade
πUp to 5 miles (out and back)
You canβt beat a coastal run. Head from Brighton Pier towards Hove Lagoon along the promenade. Flat, breezy and packed with energy, this route is perfect for sunsets, sea air, and people-watching while you pound the pavement.
ποΈ Dundee β Riverside Path
π 3-6 miles depending on the turn-around point
Run along the River Tay for a stunning waterside route starting near the V&A Dundee. It's flat, scenic, and peaceful β a favourite among University of Dundee and Abertay students looking to escape campus.

Taking an average of 2 hours and 7 minutes to complete, this is a popular trail for hikers, road bikers and runners that runs alongside the River Kelvin.

Up for a longer run, or a cycle? This traffic-free path starts from Chorlton and winds through Fallowfield and Levenshulme β perfect if you're a University of Manchester or Manchester Metropolitan University student.

π° London β Regents Park and Primrose Hill Circular

London has no shortage of running spots, but this circular route that is a staple of the city. Mostly considered an easy route, take in the beautiful parks, head past the London Zoo and head up to Primrose Hill to take in spectacular views of the city below.
πΆ Liverpool β Sefton Park Loop

Near Merseyside, this is one of the easier routes in the city that takes just over an hour to complete, so don't worry if you're new to running as it's suitable for most abilities. Try to take in the boating lake, Victorian Palm House and Obelisk monument as you head past.
π³ Ormskirk β Ruff Wood Trail
π1-2 miles, or repeat for longer
Small but mighty, Ruff Wood has a peaceful trail loop that takes you through lush woodland just a short jog from Edge Hill University. It's prefect for quick run before lectures or a weekend nature reset.
πΎ Preston β Avenham & Miller Parks
π3 miles
These twin parks form a connected green space along the River Ribble, making it a beautiful running route. Loop around for a peaceful riverside route or take advantage of the big open space and steps if you fancy a bit of interval training.
π Salford β Peel Park & The Meadow
π1.5 miles
A short and easygoing walking and running route around The University of Salford that has scenic views of the River Irwell. Only taking an average of half an hour to complete by walking, this is a great spot to fit in a quick run during your busy schedule.
π» Truro β Newham Trail
Truro isn't short of great outdoor trails, but the Newham trail is one of the most unique, following a disused railway line that runs across the Calenick valley.
