Change the face of men's health this month

Movember, the month formerly known as November, is when brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache, and women step up to support them, all to raise awareness and funds for men's health - specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

What are the rules for Movember?

On Movember 1st all participants should start completely clean shaven. Movember is for one month only and head starts are not allowed and go against the spirit of Movember. Remember – each Mo is a conversation starter for men's health. As such, we encourage all Mo Legends to grow as genuine a Mo as possible

What is the story behind the Movember?

Movember was started in 2003 by two mates from Australia. Travis Garone and Luke Slattery jokingly decided to bring back in fashion the moustache by convincing their friends to grow one. Inspired by a friend's mother who was fundraising for breast cancer, they associated the moustache with the pink ribbon, but for men.

Why can't men shave in November?

The Concept. The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

What can girls do during Movember?

Women who participate in Movember (called Mo Sistas) are dedicated to supporting the men in their lives by promoting the importance of men's health. Mo Sistas sign up, start a team, commit to MOVE, and fundraise – they do everything Mo Bros do, they just don't grow a Mo.
