There is never a wrong time to get the help you need and sometimes all you need is a conversation to ease your mind!
We get it, moving away from home and dealing with all the daily life stuff can be overwhelming. Sometimes, you might need a little extra help to get through it. One of the first steps is always talking to someone about things.
When it comes to mental health, if you or a friend are going through a tough time because of the pressures of university life, remember, you're not alone. Loads of students all over the UK are going through similar situations. The important thing is not to keep it all to yourself - chat it out with someone. It could be a friend, a family member, your doctor, someone on your course, etc. Sharing your feelings can make a big difference.
There are plenty of support options available, like our Student Advice Line through our pals at Health Assured. Your well-being is our top priority, and we're here to provide professional help for whatever issues you're facing, whether it's stress, depression, financial worries, or anything else. The hotline is open 24/7, every day of the year, and your conversations are completely confidential, so there's no need to stress.

We're here whenever you need us, for as long as you want to talk. We also provide Time to Talk days at your accommodation. These are days when staff will be available to chat face-to-face (about any topic you like) and refreshments will be provided for free. Check with your reception to see when the next Time to Talk day is for your accommodation.
