The info you will need if you'd like people to stay

Please take the time to read over our guest policy for the information you will need if your friends or family come to stay at your new home in Halls.

  • It's important you sign any visitors in at Reception when they arrive.
  • You can usually have guests stay in your room for two consecutive nights. But this can vary, so please check with your accommodation staff or in your accommodation handbook.
  • Get the permission of the Accommodation Manager first.
  • Please give 24 hours' notice if you are having a guest stay overnight.
  • Lending of rooms (subletting) or keys is prohibited.
  • You are responsible for all your guests, and you must always accompany them while on-site.
  • Guests must be over 18 to stay overnight.
  • If you do not tell us about guests, you may risk losing your tenancy.
  • Guests may be asked to leave if they are disturbing staff, other students or are unaccompanied.
  • Guests who are not staying overnight will need to leave by the time quiet hours start.

Some regulations may vary depending on the Hall, so check the 'Additional Information' page of your chosen accommodation where you will find a link to the relevant handbook for your halls.
