For students looking to manage stress effectively, I would recommend practicing mindfulness and meditation. These techniques are particularly valuable for students because they help in several ways such as reducing anxiety and stress, improving concentration, etc. Students can start with simple guided meditations, which are widely available on various apps and websites, or even participate in brief mindfulness exercises like deep breathing or focused attention on different parts of the body. These practices can serve as a practical tool for managing stress amidst the challenges of student life.

Thank you Nasif, please keep an eye on your inbox as a voucher will be heading your way!

Fight stress and win a £50 e-voucher!

April is stress awareness month, meaning there is no better time to start fighting stress! Sometimes the little things can make all the difference and this year's theme (#LittleByLittle) is all about highlighting how we can make small changes to our lifestyle to combat stress effectively.

We know students have to deal with stress on a daily basis - especially during the exam season or periods when the stuff in your life just seems to keep piling up. So why not try out a few new stress-busting methods?

For stress awareness month, we are giving away a £50 e-voucher to one lucky Sanctuary resident. All you have to do is read three stress-busting articles and complete the quiz below:

The closing date is Tuesday 30 April 2024. We will then pick a winner at random and who will receive a £50 e-voucher. The winner will be announced in early May.

To enter, you must be living with Sanctuary Students for the 23/24 academic year, and only one entry per person please. Good luck!
