But what does that really mean?

Well, first of all, it means you're part of something bigger. Sanctuary Students is part of the Sanctuary Group — a not-for-profit charity that provides accommodation to people from all walks of life.

We were set up over 50 years ago to deliver housing and care to those who need it, and that original purpose still guides us today. Throughout our history, acquisitions, mergers and development have enabled Sanctuary to grow into one of the largest not-for-profit housing associations in the UK.

This means that when you live with us, you're helping us to support more than 250,000 people across the country with affordable housing and care homes.

We provide homes for key workers

We provide accommodation to key workers at hospital sites to enable them to complete their practical studies close at hand to their place of work.

Much like our student accommodation, these sites provide safe, comfortable spaces for key workers to live and friendly communities to help them get the most from their time with us. 

Sustainability is fundamental to everything we do

We want to make a long-term positive difference to the people that live in our communities. At the same time, we encourage fair and inclusive practices for the health, welfare and development of our 12,500 employees.
