- 6 cloves of garlic
- Olive oil
- 2 large potatoes

- 2 eggs
Method
To make the lamb stew (gulasz):

- Mince the garlic.
- Put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and allow the olive oil to heat up.
- Boil water in the kettle.
- Add the lamb to the frying pan and stir regularly.
- Once the lamb has started to brown, add the diced bell pepper and onion to the pan.
- After the bell pepper and onion has started to soften, add half of the garlic to the pan.
- Once the bell pepper and the onion is soft, add 1 tablespoon of oncu paste and 1 cube of beef stock into the pan.
- Add enough boiling water into the pan, covering the vegetables and lamb.
- Let the water reduce to form the stew.
- If the stew becomes too thick during cooking, you can add more water as needed.
To make the potato pancakes (Placki Ziemniaczana):
- Peel and wash 2 large potatoes.
- Grate the potatoes using a box grater.
- Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out any excess moisture over a sink.
- Add the potatoes into a large bowl.
- Add 2 tables spoons of flour to the bowl.
- Add the 2 eggs into the bowl.
- Add the rest of the garlic into the bowl.
- Season the ingredients with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix the ingredients in the bowl until well combined.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a hot pan.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the potato mixture into the hot pan and flatten it with a spatula to form a pancake shape.
- Cook the pancake for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the cooked pancake to a paper towel-lined plate to remove any excess oil.
- Repeat the process with the remaining potato mixture, adding more oil to the pan as needed.
