Pour some sugar on them!

With just a little beer, you can turn your run-of-the-mill waffle into an extra tasty sensation. It might seem weird at first but trust us, this recipe is simple but effective.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 and a half cups of low-alcohol beer
  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • Icing sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Half a cup of pearl sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Method

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, then pour beer into the mix and stir. Set aside until cool. 
  2. Put the flour, icing sugar and yeast in a large bowl and mix it.
  3. then add egg yolks and more butter and set it aside for a few hours. 
  4. Then add olive oil and pearl sugar in a bowl and stir it until batter and make it thick and then cut it into 7 portions. 
  5. Then heat up the waffle iron, brush it with oil, spoon the batter over the waffle iron, and close and bake until golden brown. 
  6. Serve with extra butter, icing sugar and enjoy!
